Fantastic stay. Convenient to everything. Access to beach was just steps away. Condo was nice and clean. Had everything we needed. Pool was fantastic and well maintained. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed the grill and picnic area as well. Great time!

We really enjoyed this rental. The space was bright and sunny and lots of balconies to enjoy. Everything we needed to eat in house all week was available in the kitchen. We had a nice view of the inter-coastal water and the ocean is across the street. We stayed in the condo complex right next door before and we knew the area. We learned before that we don't have to rent a car- too expensive!- because these rentals are right on the corner of all of the things you need. There's a Publix a mile away- a nice short walk for us and an Uber ride home with all of our groceries for the week. Any incidentals could be purchased at the Crescent Grocery across the street, a well stocked convenience grocery that also has lots of wine options, produce and deli. A few open air bars and breakfast spots are right on the same corner as well and some good beachy shops too. The trolley runs for free up and down the island from Turtle Park to Siesta Key Village (another center for beachy shops, food and beverages and beach locations). Right now- the red tide has made the usually beautiful and tropical Siesta Key beach awful. We didn't spend any more than a half hour walking there because of the odor of dead things and the water wafting off the waves. When red tide isn't present, it's the most beautiful beach we've been too in the US, so still highly recommend. This spot is really the most convenient to everything in Siesta Key close to the beach without being in the middle of party central down in the Village area on the other end.
The pool at the condo was well maintained and really really big- lots of space for several groups of people and families to mingle together. Very clean and we spent most of our outside time there. Our goal was, after a long and hard year, to focus on doing a whole lot of nothing! And we did a lot of that in the sun and on our balcony and relaxing in the condo air conditioning. We weren't interested in traveling into Sarasota this trip, but there's plenty to do there. (You may prefer to rent a car if you do this though)
Literally the only thing we would have to mention that you should be aware of is the noise at night in any corner unit of this building close to Stickney Point Road. The draw bridge is right outside and the traffic is very loud until early morning hours. The windows don't block the sound at all and it's like they are wide open. BUT, we use ear plugs regularly and this resolved that completely. We slept well with earplugs every night. The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of linens and towels and we enjoyed this stay very very much.
The office staff was also GREAT. Quarters for the washers can be obtained here which is great because even the banks are giving people a hard time about getting change.
Communication with our host contact was also very easy and quick by phone and text.
We would definitely stay again!!
(A quick note about masks and COVID- almost no one in FL was wearing masks when we were there even with record COVID numbers there. It was very disappointing. We wore masks everywhere we went and tested negative once we returned home. We found airlines to be diligent about mask wearing and we practiced good distancing as best we could. We spent most of our time around other people while outside and didn't dine in anywhere. This can still be done safely, and we did, but you have to be the one to take the initiative. Only one store (that I love!) required masks and they take a lot of guff for it.)

Perfect family getaway

We loved everything about our stay at The Anchorage. The home was cozy, the pool was perfect, with gorgeous Crescent Beach just a short walk across the road. Everyone we met was super friendly from other guests to staff. This was just the tonic we needed after the last 18 months. Wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend 💕

My place was super clean and the entire grounds beautiful especially that wonderful pool! Very close walk to the beach and was super nice to have private access to the beach. The entire staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate me (Tina was extra amazing) and even gave me extra perks from early checkin to late check out due to my flights changing on me. Super close to the trolley stop, several restaurants and local grocery store. Will definitely use this Airbnb again and highly recommend it!!!
