This rental property had a very nice pool. We enjoyed watching the sunsets sitting by the canal and watching the sunrises by the pool. We really liked the location within Punta Gorda. The lanai was nice where we could keep the glass doors shut or open the glass doors to listen to the birds and owls. The beds were comfortable

Someone needs to have a Dynasty-themed girls weekend here and live like it’s 1989 with full shoulder pads and gold bathing suits. It is not apparent from the pictures but this place gives “Designing Women goes to Florida.” It is a perfectly preserved Joan Collins fever dream in gold trim and mirrored wet-bars. It has a cassette tape player- based sound system that plays in every room. This place has to be appreciated for what it is by someone who finds a lot of joy in good set design and late 80s kitsch. Otherwise they might be shocked or disappointed. We were shocked but awed and played Whitney Houston all weekend. BEST: the air conditioned attached dining/living area w sliding glass doors that open fully to the pool for an amazing indoor/outdoor living situation. Comfy beds with nice linens. WORST: the older furniture in the living room was worryingly dirty. Humidity can bring a wet dog smell up in the house. No working/useable bathtubs (for kids). Should set price accordingly
