Epic Universe advice from our local team
Epic Universe changed the geography of a Universal trip. The new campus sits south of Sand Lake Road by the convention corridor, which puts it closer to the vacation-home communities than the original parks have ever been — and puts Paradiso Grande, our closest community, practically next door.
The park is built around five themed worlds, and admission is date-based. Plan it like a headline day: tickets sorted before you fly, an early start, and a home close enough that leaving for a swim doesn't cost you the afternoon.
It's a separate campus
Epic Universe sits a few miles south of Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, with its own garage off Kirkman Road. Driving between campuses mid-day costs real time, so give each one its own day.
Paradiso Grande is the shortcut
From Paradiso Grande you reach the gates in minutes, and the convention-corridor restaurants on Universal Blvd are on the way home. From the Kissimmee communities the run is 15 to 25 minutes.
The midday reset works here too
Do the worlds in the morning, take the pool break at the house mid-afternoon, and come back as the crowds thin toward close. Being minutes out is what makes the pattern worth it.
